Bringing History to Life: Cobholm Primary Academy’s Interactive Ancient Greek Experience

Cobholm Primary Academy recently took part in an immersive history experience with School History Visits, who led an engaging and innovative workshop around Ancient Greeks.  

Year 3 class Ferns enjoyed a day of exciting outreach learning, diving into the distant past with School History Visits’ workshop specifically designed for Key Stage 2 (KS2). Pupils had the opportunity to do hands-on activities, trying on replica Greek armour pieces and different shields, and engaging in interactive storytelling.

Schools History Visits is an immersive outreach learning package for KS2 pupils learning about ancient Roman and Greek history in school, developed by heritage and drama specialists in collaboration with KS2 teachers to ensure they align perfectly with the curriculum. The group aims to make studying history fun, while demonstrating why it is a crucial subject to learn; understanding how these ancient civilisations shaped modern life, democracy and education, all wrapped up in a fun filled package!
