Sponsored Read to Celebrate the First Michael Rosen Day

In November, Cobholm Primary Academy pupils took part in a sponsored read on the first Michael Rosen Day, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Michael's first book and encouragement to enjoy poetry, stories and creativity for pupils all while raising a whopping £900!

During the afternoon the children took part in a range of reading activities including; reading stories or non-fiction books, sharing a book with a friend or reading buddy, having a teacher-led story, a story from Michael Rosen (video) as well as a visit to the library and designing a book cover.

We are so proud that we were able to raise over £900! This will be spent on taking the whole school on a trip to see the Great Yarmouth pantomime this December which everyone is looking forward to!
